IN4.0 Urbanism Lab
What kinds of cities do we want to live in? How can we direct urban change toward realization of such desirable future cities?
The IN4.0 Urbanism Lab addresses these questions by intersecting social and infrastructure needs with technology and data sciences. The Lab leads multidisciplinary projects seeking to integrate urban planning, policy and design with statistics, data science, geospatial analysis visualization, and machine learning to craft equitable and innovative solutions to tomorrow’s complex urban problems. The result is a new generation of data science, AI and technology focused on solving the profound challenges posed by urbanization. Integrating ideas from urban planning, biology, and engineering.
The IN4.0 Group within the TILabs Lab seeks to embody the values of well-being and equity in cities of tomorrow. The group’s research projects are organized around three key themes: sustainability, well-being, and urban equity.
SUSTAINABILITY>> Smart urban growth and development / Sustainable management of resources / Designing advanced infrastructures WELLBEING>> Urban digital health / Environmental sustainability EQUALITY>> Social groups / Adaptation to urban digitization / New urban management tools
